DANCE IN THE MOONLIGHT

In olden times when the moon reached its biggest and brightest, women from southern Jeolla province would gather outside, form a circle hand-in-hand, and dance together until the morning. Just like the previous song, the dance begins slowly at first, and then gradually accelerates so that the dancers eventually need to leap around. It usually lasts all night long and thus the leader constantly has to create new lyrics to keep it going.

FUN IS HERE

Everybody loves to have fun! Peasant neighbors from Gyeongsang province often gathered outdoors with many different instruments and sang this song out loud while joyfully dancing and wishing for pungnyeon (year of abundance). The song usually begins slowly, but then gradually speeds up as the fun grows.
